What do I need to do to attend a class?

Choose your class. Most classes are suitable for mixed fitness levels. We suggest reading the descriptions and select the one to suit you.

Book your place using mindbody online to ensure you don’t miss out- remember our classes start and finish on time.

Arrive 15 minutes before class particularly if it is your first time as we will need to ask you a few questions about your general health and any specific needs.

Wear clothes which are comfortable and easy to move in

We suggest you refrain from eating a heavy meal a couple of hours prior to exercising.

Remember our cancellation policy if you are unable to attend – 9 hours’ notice please.

Bring your own Yoga mat for these classes as our studio mats are limited. We also suggest a small towel and water bottle is handy as well.

Things to know

Listen to your body- it is your best teacher. If you need to slow down or even rest it is OK by us.

Yoga & Pilates are practiced in bare feet so leave your shoes at the door.

Please turn off your mobile phone while you are in the studio.

If you are late you may miss out as our classes start and finish on time and we encourage minimum disruption for all participants.

All classes require a minimum of 2 people to go ahead.

Provision for storage of small valuables is available however Alive take no responsibility for loss or damage of personal belongings.

You need to be over 16 years of age to participate in our studio classes and we are unable to cater for children in the studio at any time.

If you have any injuries or special needs make sure you seek advice from your Doctor and/or Health professional before you start. From here it is important you let our teachers know and they will guide you to the most suitable classes for you.

If you are pregnant please seek advice from your Doctor and from here it is important to speak to our teachers who will recommend the most suitable classes for you.

The climate in both studios will be maintained at temperatures for general comfort and best outcomes. Usually Pilates will be 19 degrees C and Yoga 22 degrees C (a little cosier in colder months).

After class

You may experience some muscle soreness which is quite normal. Speak to your teacher if you have any concerns otherwise we will see you back in a couple of days.

Once your intro offer is finished we will contact you to determine the best option for you to continue with either membership, packs or casual visits.
